What does 27 dB (SNR) of noise reduction sound like?
Loop Dream earplugs decrease noise by 27 dB, which means a significant reduction for many sounds, but won't eliminate noise entirely. Here's what you can expect:
Soft sounds like breathing, the hum of a fridge, or a dishwasher will most likely be inaudible.
Medium sounds such as a TV in another room, distant traffic, or a flushing toilet will be reduced to faint murmurs.
Loud sounds like sirens, a dog barking, or fireworks will still be audible, but at a much lower volume.`
As for snoring, it varies in volume. Softer snoring may be completely blocked out or barely heard, while louder snoring (which can reach up to 100 dB) will still be noticeable, although less intense.
Why do you recommend changing the ear tips every 100 nights?
You should replace your ear tips every 100 nights or uses because the memory foam material can start losing its shape over time. The foam follows the shape of your ear canal to reduce pressure for greater all-night sleep comfort, but after repeated use, it may not seal as effectively, which can reduce performance.
To keep your earplugs performing at their best, we recommend replacing your ear tips after 100 nights or uses.
You can find replacement ear tips here.
How do I insert the earplugs?
1.
Hold the earplug between your fingers with the ear tip pointing toward your face
2.
Pull the back of your ear to open up the ear canal, then gently insert the ear tip into your ear. Unlike our other products, you don’t need to twist the Loop Dream earplug
3.
Gently press on the earplug for 5 seconds to ensure a comfortable fit and proper seal. Don’t try to push it in too deep
If they feel loose or tend to fall out, try a larger ear tip size. If they’re too tight or stick out, go down a size. Make sure the seal stays in place when moving your jaw from side to side. If you can hear yourself talking more loudly, it's a sign of a good seal.
Just a heads up, you might need ear tips of different sizes for your left and right ear.
What should I do if the silicone layer folds over the ear tip?
We don't use glue in our products, so occasionally, the silicone layer may fold over, causing the foam tip to bulge out. If this happens, just:
1.
Unroll the silicone layer
2.
Roll it back over to cover the foam tip
How do I know which ear tips fit?
Every pair of Loop Dream™ earplugs comes preloaded with removable size M Loop Dream Ear Tips, plus three other sizes (XS, S, L), so you can customize each earplug for the perfect fit – even if each ear needs a different size.
If your ear tips feel loose or tend to fall out, try a larger size. If they’re too tight or stick out, go down a size. To check the fit, move your jaw from side to side to ensure the seal stays in place. Remember, the ear tip sizes for Loop Dream may differ from your other Loop products, so be sure to try all the sizes.
