"These loops are a godsend to me as it really does the job. Before wearing them, come the evening, I would get jumpy from the slightest sound and my eardrums would hurt every time. Now, because the sound has been reduced throughout the day, I am no longer jumpy in the evenings and is really surprised at how well they work for me. I love the case; it is so cute and I have connected it to my BTS keychain so I don't lose it and the loops are really comfortable. "I enjoy using loops in loud, many-different-sounds-enviroments, for instance on a bus ride, a party or outside surrounded by many people talking and different sounds happening in the background. Those environments usually overstimulate me. These earplugs don't cover "everything", but they do block out the sharpest, most uncomfortable sounds to my ears. On a party with, in my opinion, way too loud music blasting through the room, they definitely muffle the sharpest, loudest sounds so I can still enjoy the music and dance. Earlier I had to cover my ears with my hands :'). One thing I didn't know before though: As soon as you really plug them in, you start hearing yourself a lot louder; like your breathing and especially your voice. You start talking more silently while hearing others less in conversations. So for normal day-to-day convos, I did oftentimes have to take them out sometimes to actually understand the person in front of me. But all in all could recommend, especially for loud, overstimulating places!"

"Very happy with the earplugs so far. I use the quiet mode or whatever for sleeping as I work nights and omg a LIFE changer. I have anxiety about not hearing my alarms but I was able to still hear them AND it blocked out my parents neighbor when she came in to let the dogs out during the day while I slept for work.   • Quiet Mode: Delivers peace and quiet with the highest noise reduction at 26 dB (SNR). 

How do I adjust the noise reduction modes on Loop Switch 2? 

On your Loop Switch 2 earplugs, you'll see three circles representing the different noise reduction modes and a mechanical dial. To adjust, simply rotate the dial to align with the desired mode: 

  • Engage Mode: Rotate to the thin circle at the front. This mode reduces volume by 20 dB (SNR), filtering background noise while keeping conversations clear. 
  • Experience Mode: Turn to the half-filled circle in the center. This mode lowers volume by 23 dB (SNR) while maintaining sound quality. 
  • Quiet Mode: Rotate to the filled circle at the back for the strongest noise reduction at 26 dB (SNR). 

Note: You can switch modes directly in-ear and will feel a gentle 'click' when the mode is selected. 

Can I sleep with Loop Switch 2?​ 

Loop Switch isn’t designed for sleeping. They’re bulkier than other models, so they may not be the most comfortable for sleeping. 

For earplugs designed for sleep, Loop Dream is your best option. These earplugs offer maximum sleep comfort, powerful noise reduction and all-night security – even for side sleepers. 

Which products are compatible with Loop Switch 2?​ 

Loop Switch 2 is compatible with the specially designed Loop Switch 2 Ear Tips, Loop Switch 2 Carry Case and Loop Link, our stylish connector cord for on-the-go use.

What certification does Loop Switch 2 have? 

All Loop products have a Declaration of Conformity and comply with relevant PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) legislation to guarantee their safety and quality. They've been thoroughly tested by various authorities and are officially certified as hearing protection.  

Our products meet the following standards: EU Certification Standard EN 352-2:2020; US Certification Standard ANSI S3.19-1974 (ASA STD 1-1975).

What do Loop’s decibel ratings actually mean?

The dB (or decibel) rating tells you how much quieter things get when you wear them. The higher the number, the more sound is reduced.


Switch doesn't have one fixed dB rating – it has three.

Engage Mode runs at 14 dBs (NRR) reduction: for conversations, social situations, and anywhere you want to take the edge off without losing the room.

Experience Mode runs at 17 dBs (NRR) reduction: for concerts, events, and louder settings where you want protection without losing the energy of what you're hearing.

Quiet Mode runs at 20 dBs (NRR) reduction: maximum reduction for commutes, studying, or any moment you need proper quiet.

The rating doesn't change the earplug, just the dial. Switch lets you match your protection to what you're doing right now, without carrying a different pair for every situation.
