Understanding noise reduction

What does 27 dB of noise reduction mean?

Loop Dream earplugs decrease noise by 27 dB, which means a significant reduction for many sounds, but won't eliminate noise entirely. Here's what you can expect:

  • Soft sounds like breathing, the hum of a fridge, or a dishwasher will most likely be inaudible.
  • Medium sounds such as a TV in another room, distant traffic, or a flushing toilet will be reduced to faint murmurs.
  • Loud sounds like sirens, a dog barking, or fireworks will still be audible, but at a much lower volume.`

What about snoring?

Snoring varies in volume. Softer snoring may be completely blocked out or barely heard, while louder snoring (which can reach up to 100 dB) will still be noticeable, although less intense.

Questions? We're all ears

Should I get Loop Dream if I already have Loop Quiet 2?

If you already have Loop Quiet 2, you're covered for focus, travel and naps on the go. However, Loop Dream is the better choice if you're looking for earplugs specifically designed for sleep. It's tailored for maximum sleep comfort, offering maximum noise reduction and a secure fit for all-night comfort, even when side sleeping. So, if restful sleep is your priority, Loop Dream is worth considering.

What's the difference between Loop Dream and Loop Quiet 2?

Loop Quiet 2 is perfect for creating a quiet bubble when you need to focus, travel or nap on the go. With round ear tips and soft-touch silicone, it offers comfort from day to night.

However, if a good night's sleep is your priority, Loop Dream is designed specifically for that. It features our softest silicone earplug body and oval tips that naturally fit the shape of your ear, reducing pressure for a better night's sleep. With our highest level of noise reduction at 27 dB (SNR), the new hybrid foam-silicone Loop Dream Ear Tips effectively drown out unwanted nighttime noise.

In short, while Loop Quiet 2 is versatile and great for everyday use, Loop Dream is tailored for the best sleep experience.

What makes Loop Dream more comfortable for sleep?

Loop Dream is designed specifically for maximum sleep comfort. Made from our softest silicone, the earplug features a thinner nozzle to reduce pressure inside the ear canal, along with a smaller diameter and closed loop to ease pressure on the outer ear – perfect for side sleepers. The oval-shaped Loop Dream Ear Tips are designed to follow the natural shape of your ear, further reducing pressure for an even more comfortable fit.

The hybrid of memory foam and silicone ear tips creates the perfect blend for restful sleep.  The foam forms a secure seal for maximum noise reduction (27 dB SNR) and stays comfortably in place all night. The silicone adds durability while providing a soft and comfortable feel in the ear.

What level of noise reduction does Loop Dream have?

Loop Dream muffles nighttime noises like snoring and outside traffic with 27 dB (SNR) – our highest level of noise reduction.

Will they fit my ears?

Loop Dream is designed for a wide range of ears, offering a secure and comfortable fit all night long for any ear size.

However, your ear tip size for Loop Dream might differ from other Loop products. Loop Dream Ear Tips are oval-shaped to match your ear canal's natural shape, reducing pressure and enhancing comfort. Due to this design change, you might need an ear tip size that’s different from what you're used to. We recommend trying each size (XS, S, M, L) to find your perfect fit.

Why do you recommend changing the ear tips every 100 nights?

You should replace your ear tips every 100 nights or uses because the memory foam material can start losing its shape over time. The foam follows the shape of your ear canal to reduce pressure for greater all-night sleep comfort, but after repeated use, it may not seal as effectively, which can reduce performance.

To keep your earplugs performing at their best, we recommend replacing your ear tips after 100 nights or uses.
